User Workshop - Ayer Keroh, Melaka

Yesterday noon, arrived at Seri Malaysia Hotel, Ayer Keroh, Melaka to participate in a user workshop to consolidate & refine user requirement prior to System Development.

Will be here until Thursday. A rather tiring week because it's not like a vacation. Starts with breakfast at 0700, finishes at almost midnight everyday. But got to meet users from all over Malaysia.

7th AGM for PPBBT.Klang

Just attended 7th AGM for Persatuan Penduduk Bandar Bukit Tinggi (PPBBT) Klang held at Ballroom 3, Premier Hotel, Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang with the whole family.

We attended to witness Hisyam receiving his award for Academic Performer 2010 for UPSR. The meeting was conducted a bit late than scheduled but to my surprise, ended on time. The meeting went smooth because everyone are hungry by the fragrant smell of food at the back of the hall. So election of new office bearers was quick. I've been appointed as a committee member after resting for more than 3 years as an observer.

The residence association is close to my heart because I was the one who won the 21 inch TV for logo design.

During my time as committee member few years back, I also designed banners & t-shirts for Half Marathon. I was also the one who created a mobile-blog for PPBBT at http://www.dapat.net/ppbbt

Now, PPBBT even had its own Facebook page.

 Hope to contribute to the society.

Team Building in Eagle Ranch Resort

Yesterday, just arrived from Port Dickson, N9 after a 3D2N Team Building in Eagle Ranch Resort.

First Day:
Travel from office towards Eagle Ranch Resort ( Lat: 2.42677N Long: 101.91401E ) http://www.eagleranch.com.my/. Checks in to Bandwagon 30.

After Lunch, first game starts at 15:00, a Management game named Crossing the River Kwai. We're divided into 3 groups throughout the event. Cowboy, Herbal-life & Rain (my team). All games carry points. We managed to get a tie with Herbal-life. Towards the end it started raining. We'd to rest a while waiting for the rain to stop. Then we proceeds with Futsal tournament.

After dinner, There's a product demo by the Vendor but prior to that I managed to conduct an ice-breaking session halfway to give way for the demo.

Day Two:
We had to re-aligned the program since a few team had to go back to KL for a Management meeting. After Breakfast, we went for Go-Kart. Each of us had to drive 5 rounds representing our teams. RM25 for 5 rounds per pax; quite expensive compared to the one in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. Anyway, My team finishes last due to technical difficulties.

Then we went for the obstacle game (5 games) and my team finishes last also.

After lunch, we gathered for Paintball. Round-robin, each team had to present 2 team. Halfway, each team had a team winner, my team; Rain had to fight Herbal-life in the Semi-final and we won. For final, we won against Cowboy. With the winning, Rain team won overall.

At 17:20 we continued with Futsal, some played volleyball and some went for swimming.
For dinner, we had BBQ. Sent out survey to choose either to play Paintball another round or Go-Kart.

Last Day:
We postponed our weekly meeting to next Tuesday and enjoyed another round of Go-Kart.

Cuti Ganti, Makan

Hari ini hari persekolahan gantian untuk cuti Deepavali nanti. Sekolah akan beri cuti seminggu Deepavali ini, jadi budak2 kena sekolah gantian 3 hari. 9 April, 23 April & 7 Mei. Hassan kata balik pukul 1 rupa2nya balik 12:30 nasib baik gi kul 12:45 kalau idak naya diorang tunggu lama.


Lepas Zohor, keluar makan. Akhirnya merasa makan kat Las Vacas Meat Shop, Kelana Jaya. Tapi menyesal datang sabtu petang sebab kat area tu sibuk nak buka pasar malam, so parking jauh sikit kat tepi2 rumah orang.


Nokia 5800 XM aku okay lagi tapi gatal2 je survey Samsung Galaxy S. 
Hajat hati IP4, tapi mahal sangat. Daripada aku beli mahal2, baik aku bawak famili gi holiday.

Busy week

Starting this week, I'll be busy. Today; Monday got meetings both morning and afternoon. Tuesday till Thursday got a Project Seminar in Cyberjaya. Friday also another tiring day. A weekly Project Meeting in the morning and another meeting in the afternoon. A Meeting Week i would say. But long as I'm busy doing something for the good of the company is all better than busy doing nothing.

Last night had Domino's for dinner. They promised 30 minutes to receive or we'll get a pizza voucher for free. After 45 minutes, I called back the call center and complained. They promised that the nearest branch'll call but no one called. The pizzas can after 50 minutes (from order time), the delivery boy just said sorry for the delay ... and NO PIZZA VOUCHER given as promised by the operator. Well, this is the second time that it happened to us. Never mind for now, but if we faced it for the 3rd time, I'll surely lodge a formal complaint. To add fuel to the fire, the ice-cream that we ordered was out of stock and we had to revert to a box of Drumstick Kit-Kat 4-cones ice cream.

Nonetheless, because we're enjoying the ABPBH Award on TV, the mood is still okay. Well, its 09:30 now, the meeting should start, but until now, I'm the only one waiting in this warm meeting room.

Hisyam Posing Sakan

Tengahari tadi gi makan di Restoran Limau Nipis, Bangi pastu terus ke Alamanda untuk jumpa anak saudara Ahmad Syahir. Sambil tunggu dia rehat kerja, gi beli buku anak2 kat MPH. Kemudian kami borak2 kat centre court. Bila rasa nak minum/makan, terus jalan ke RASA food court.


On the way ke sana, ada counter Guardian dgn promosi Garnier Men. Mula2 plan nak beli facial cleanser jer. Lepas tu promoter tu promote kata kalau beli RM20 dapat masuk peraduan bakal menang Motor Kawasaki Ninja baru. Lepas pilih, kena promote lagi kalau beli RM30 dapat buat sesi fotografi dengan Motor Cagiva kat situ. Apa lagi, belilah barang sampai RM32. Tapi memandangkan aku masih pakai Air Bag kat perut nih, so suruh ler si Syahir berposing tapi sebab dia malu, Hisyam ler yang jadik mangsa. Ingatkan takat satu foto je rupa2nya dekat 10 snap tapi kena pilih satu jer untuk print. 


Posing sakan anak bujang aku nih ... Lepas touch-up, bayar extra utk Frame & digital, bawah nih hasilnya ... mungkin bakal model?

Anak Saudara baru !

2-Apr-2011 adalah tarikh ulang tahun pertama anak saudaraku di JB; Aiys Omar bin Asri. Ingatkan adik lelakinya akan lahir pada tarikh yang sama tetapi dah ketentuanNYA, Aiys dapat adik lelakinya jam 4 pagi 3-Apr-2011. Alhamdulillah selamat. Namanya Aiys Rahim bin Asri. Nama Omar & Rahim adalah nama adik2 arwah abah yang tinggal di Kg. Air Merah, Mersing, Johor. Pak Omar, bekas askar wataniah; tinggal bujang seorang diri di rumah pusaka arwah tok depan rumah Pak Yem (Rahim). Pak Yem pesara TM.


Mudah2an adikku dikurniakan rezeki yang melimpah-ruah dan anak2 lelaki yang soleh.


Bertambahlah sorang lagi cucu mak jadi 5 orang. Insyaallah Oktober ini tambah sorang lagi. Mudah2an kami dapat sorang lagi anak perempuan yang solehah.

Sesi Makan2 N.I.S Rahsia

Jumaat lepas; 01-Apr-2011, akhirnya rakan sepejabat berjaya jalankan majlis makan2 secara senyap2. Kenapa senyap2? Sebab saja tak nak ajak bos2 besar join sekali. Kalau sebelum ini Appreciation Lunch (Jamuan Penghargaan) kat hotel One World tu, kami yang dikerah kederat walaupun majlis tu untuk meraikan kami juga. So, sebab tu kami pakat2 kumpul duit target nak makan kambing panggang sekali buat pot-luck.

Kalau ikut plan asal, patutnya aku pun join tapi sebab ada yang aku kurang setuju, aku terus tak hadir. Alhamdulillah, projek baru yang aku join tu pun ada buat 1st Project Weekly Meeting Jumaat pagi tu jugak, so adalah tempat aku nak release tension.


Walaupun agak terkilan tak dapat jamah Nasi Dagang T'ganu, Kambing Panggang (foto atas tu), kupang rebus Ali Zen, teh tarik Hisham dan lain2 aku hantar jugak mel ucapan tahniah pada semua untuk majlis ini plus tahniah jugak untuk yang bakal dapat durian runtuh sebab bakal dapat extra bonus tak lama lagi.


Untuk yang dapat Average macam aku, Alhamdulillah. Ini rezeki kita. Daripada tak dapat langsung. Yang dapat banyak tu pun rezeki diorang. Mudah2an berkat. Walaupun terkilan staff sendiri tak dapat lebih, tapi apakan daya. Persepsi pihak pengurusan terhadap Unit Latihan memang rendah sampai bila2.
